Time to Bring Them Back

Well boys and girls, it is finally time to bring back your library books! Mrs. Clark is busy trying to complete the inventory of all the books. Remember, sign up on Monday for the Burnaby Public Library Summer Reading Program!

Wild Dogs

The wild puppies that you see in the background were a litter that we came across on our safari in South Africa. Wild dogs are very rare as they have been hunted by farmers protecting their farm animals. These pups were upsetting a herd of elephants (you couldn't see them but you could sure hear them!) that were in the nearby bushes. Most of the wild dog litters at Thanda game reserve have not survived because they have been killed by the lions in the area. This litter was doing very well though! It was a highlight of our trip.

I am figuring out how to do the layout for my blog and to make additions to it. I am not sure how these "circles" work. They have something to do with the people that you communicate with. Anyone have a blog and know how that works?

This is the first day of my blog. It is a rather scary proposition and I'm not sure what I'm doing, so please bear with me as I experiment and learn.
