Books I'm Reading

I just finished Variant by Robison Wells. It is a young adult novel about a teenager named Benson who finds himself locked in a secluded private school with other "students." The novel fashions itself after Lord of the Flies whereas the teens form a society based on competing groups. Although there is a truce between the factions, it is tenuous as best. There is a lot of drama in this book and I was kept on edge as I read. If you are a Hunger Games fan, you might well enjoy this book 1 in the series. The second book comes out October 2012. I'll be looking for it!
